I’m very excited for summer and having the kids home from school! Lots of crafting and camp and beach and garden food…YAY!
I was recently asked to make a very specific towel and potholder set for someone who was visiting a hotel this month. What a considerate idea!! Can you imagine walking in to a hotel room to find something extra special, just for you?
This kind soul did a search on Etsy and found a set that I’d made with this garbage/recycling truck applique and reached out to me to make this set.
This leads me to mention that anything can be made with any design that you find in my shop or on this blog. I have so many designs, I’m not quite sure that I’ll use them all in my lifetime! So, if there’s something you are considering, whether it’s for your home or for a guest that you’d like to make feel extra special and right at home, hit me up! I’m certain I can find something you’d enjoy…
Enjoy the end of the academic year and enjoy summer! Gardening is easy – grow some food this summer!
Sticking to my plan, I’ve burned through some wool interlock that I’ve had my stash for some time.
So, all of the natural colored pants are made of 100% wool interlock and the one gray pair is made of a recycled lamb’s wool/angora blend sweater. They were all made the same day and it didn’t feel right to leave the cousin out of the photo. ; )
Which is your favorite? What would you like to see more of?
I knit longies and machine-embroider Onesies to match. Lots of you know this already. ; )
It hit me as I was doing dishes (have no idea what that relationship is…) – Wouldn’t it be helpful if I offered more than one Onesie or shirt for each pair of longies? Thinking back, I went through more shirts than woolies when my kids were babies, and it would have been nice to have had more than one shirt available for the set.
I have been working on more sets that will be listed soon, but if you spot a set in my Etsy shop currently and would like a second, more customized Onesie for the longies you’re admiring, get in touch with me! I can do lots of custom embroidery and can coordinate favorite colors, too!
Just now, fold yourself in half (doesn’t matter if you’re sitting or standing – I’m not picky). Bend your knees as much as you need to to release your low back and stay for at least a minute.
